Working on Christmas Special...

Hello! Christmas is a month away, but I am already working on a Christmas special for youtube. It will be called "The Meade Skelton Christmas Special". I think that has a nice ring to it, don't you? I will be doing several Christmas songs in the show and be keeping it more about the real meaning and spirit of Christmas. I believe people need some uplifting entertainment in these our troubled times. This Christmas, I plan to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, regardless of political affiliation! I have a few gigs lined up in December, but mainly I am taking a break to catch up on other projects before the end of the year. This year has certainly been fairly good to me. I got a new job at the Chick-fil-A as the Cow Mascot, which I have done before. It doesn't pay much, but at least its an acting gig! I can call it creative promotions. I like to do all kinds of things at Christmas, so I'll be right busy. Look for my Christmas show on Youtube in a few weeks time.

This is My Country !

A song more associated with the 4th of July, but I think a lot of these Patriotic songs are fitting for Thanksgiving. I am very proud and thankful to be an American. A REAL American !

Avoiding Genre Bashing....

Many musicians get tempted to belittle their competition. I think its a poor choice professionally , to go and talk trash about other genres or other bands and  musicians. This goes for people who work in sound as well. I remember not too long ago, I found a Tumblr blog by a local sound technician at a popular music venue here in town. He said his least favorite part about his job was  "having to work Country shows".  My reaction was, buddy, maybe you're in the wrong business? If you're that petty about a certain genre that you find it difficult to run sound, maybe you shouldn't be running sound at all! I know there are a lot of heated discussions on music and musical taste. Its highly subjective in many ways.  We need to come to some sort of middle ground, where musicians can at least respect what we do, regardless of how off putting their style of music may be to them. I got pretty offended by the sound guy's statements regarding Country music. But isn't...

UpComing Show

Country Music is not Influenced by Satan ....

With the recording industry as it is, the only popular music genre to remain largely untouched by illuminati hands , is Country and Western music. This wholesome genre is loved and adored by many, to the dismay of Satan and his cohorts. Notice how Country music is contested in ways that other genres aren't. You don't really hear people say "I like anything but Rock".  Or I like all kinds of music, except Pop music".  No. But you will  hear  people  say "I like everything, except Country", or "anything but Country". But that doesn't really reflect reality, because  many people (secretly or subconsciously) like at least (some) Country music. Country music is still a big seller. Country music venues (to industry surprise) sell out tickets. But people who are under Satan's influence aren't getting the demonic presence in Country records. Its not what they are seeking. You can listen to Pop ,Dance, and Rock music records. These record...
