WRIR Fundraiser Show

I had a swell time entertaining on the local Richmond airwaves! I got to sing some of my favorites, and the DJs were mighty good hosts. This was my first time in a very long time performing on WRIR in Richmond. I hadn't been  on since 2005. I really have come a long way since then! They sure did make me feel at home. Here's a full audio clip of the show https://soundcloud.com/meademusic/wrir-fall-fundraiser-show This past weekend I entertained at Sneed's Nursery for their Fall Festival. The weather was kind of chilly and windy, but I had a great time. I always get my Christmas trees from them, and they always have a good selection it seems. I didn't get to travel as much this year as I did last year, but I figure its probably good to take a break and focus more on songwriting, tweaking my performance routines, and getting in better shape. I still have my YMCA membership and I keep up with strength training regimen. My goal is to get rid of this flab, so I can look

New songs in the works!

Hey everyone! I will be going back into the studio again with The Meadow Street Band, to record some newer material I have been working on. I will probably release a few singles first, before another full album. I'm still riding high on the coat tails on my last record "Meade Music"! It sure took off like hotcakes at a County fair! This is always fun for me to record new songs. I like to do it, and it can be addictive.  My newer songs will be reflecting more personal life choices, but some will be more story type songs. And don't worry- they will definitely be Country! I will never stray far from my Country Music roots. If you are interested, please check out my latest releases online. Meade Music is available on both CD and Vinyl LP- and for the best results, I recommend getting your copy from CD Baby. They seem to have the best turn around time.  For updates, I will always have my calendar on my website page, with lots of information about upcoming events and

Hey Everyone! If you haven't already, be sure and check out my latest album release "Meade Music" . Its on both 12" records, and compact discs , and includes some fan favorites as well such as "Sweet Tea", "Old South", "Me And My Horse" and "Old Bus 48". Its a real treat to work on these tunes, and I feel its finally in the full swing of the representation of Meade's sound! Included are The Meadow Street Band and myself, as well as the fine fiddle touches of Graham DeZarn, and  the wonderful pedal steel playing of Tim Stanton. Get your copy at CD Baby , amazon, or Steady Sounds in RVA. It got some very favorable reviews from Style Weekly, Death and Taxes,  Lap Top Sessions, and EVOR magazine, and my song "Sweet Tea" was included as "The Sounds Of Richmond" Vol 6.

Laila Rose Foundation BBQ

This past Spring I got to sing at the Laila Rose Foundation BBQ picnic. It was a real swell time. It was located at Lokota Ranch which is near Remington, Virginia. I had been there in 2009 to perform as well. This year was more rainy and chilly than last time, but I still had a lot of fun, and did a lot of songs from my album "Meade Music".Aside from a few small stops around Virginia, 2013 has been kind of a slow year from me. I took time off from the road to focus on writing new songs and getting my life together. I am playing in The Meadow Street Band, and we often do shows as well. Here's some footage of that great day I had
